Funding Inbound Open Innovation in Hospitals & Healthcare Systems

The workshop aims to foster a comprehensive discussion on funding strategies to facilitate inbound open innovation in hospital settings.

The EIT Health Hub for Greece, coordinated by National Documentation Centre (ΕΚΤ), is organising the Morning Health Τalk event «Funding Inbound Open Innovation in Hospitals & Healthcare Systems» to be held on 25 October 2023, 11:00-13:30 CEST (12:00-14:30 EEST, Athens time).

This workshop aims to foster a comprehensive discussion on funding strategies to facilitate inbound open innovation in hospital settings.We will mainly discuss how Hospitals (public and private) can benefit from external innovative solutions coming from SMEs, Startups or others through business collaborations or how they can co-develop those solutions together with startups, initiating the collaboration even from the Proof of Concept stage, and focus on how to fund the whole proccess. The event has gathered esteemed speakers and participants to explore innovative funding models, government grants, private investments, and other funding opportunities crucial for advancing healthcare innovation. The event is part of our commitment as the EIT Health HUB for Greece to support advancements in healthcare and catalyse collaboration among diverse stakeholders.

Τhe  SymbIASIS project

The SymbIASIS project is being carried out by the National Documentation Centre (EKT) in its role as a hub of EIT Health in Greece, with the support of the Archimedes Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of NKUA.
The project aims to cover the need to connect hospitals with startups in the sector so that hospitals can be modernised, digitally transformed with open innovation methods and/or Innovation procurement, while at the same time Startups can validate their technological solutions in a real environment with pilot or pre-pilot tests.
