1st Greek Competition “Innovation in the Production and Exploitation of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants"

The National Documentation Centre (EKT) is actively supporting the first competition for innovative entrepreneurial idea and startups - ‘Innovation in the Production and Exploitation of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants’, which is being organised by Aroma Innovation Hub from 13th April to 10th May 2018. The competition targets researchers, scientists, research groups and startups involved in all stages related to the production process of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants (cultivation, standardisation, manufacture of health products).

The Aroma Innovation Hub, located at the Patras Science Park, is a partnership of companies and research laboratories aiming to encourage and enhance innovative entrepreneurship and business development in the field of aromatic and medicinal plants, from cultivation and production to commercial exploitation of new products created from aromatic plants and essential oils.

EKT will offer individuals or teams winning 1st prize for innovative entrepreneurial ideas technology transfer consultancy (terms of spin offs, research and business collaboration agreements, critical issues, etc ) from Enterprise Europe Network and  assessment services for startups receiving 1st prize in the innovative entrepreneurship category.

Winners of the contest will be announced and awarded at a ceremony open to the public at the Patras Science Park on 18th May 2018.
