The European Network “C-Energy 2020” of the National Contact Points for the Programme “Safe, Clean and Efficient Energy” of Horizon 2020 consists of the National Contact Points for Energy from 18 countries and has been active since 2014. The National Documentation Centre, National Contact Point for Horizon 2020, is a member of the “C-Energy 2020” network, acting as the Greek hub for the European network.
The Programme, with a duration period of four years, intensifies and expands the actions launched during the previous Programmes (C-Energy and C-Energy+) as part of the 7th Framework Programme, in which the National Documentation Centre also participated.
The Programme aims at enhancing the National Contact Points, in order for them to improve the quality of their services, thus contributing to the public being properly informed in regard to the Horizon 2020 calls and the improvement of the quality of the proposals submitted.
The network is intended for research and academic institutions, as well as representatives of the business community, interested in participating in Horizon 2020 by submitting proposals to the open calls of the “Safe, Clean and Efficient Energy” Programme.
The network’s activities include identification and dissemination of good practices, promotion of interdisciplinary and international cooperation, finding project partners for joint proposal submissions to Horizon 2020 calls, organization of brokerage events and many more.
The aforementioned activities are complementary to those provided by the National Documentation Centre as part of its membership to the Enterprise Europe Network-Hellas regarding transfer of know-how strategies, optimum use of knowledge, innovation support and connecting research with entrepreneurship.
