A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National Documentation Centre (EKT) and the Small Enterprises Institute of the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen and Merchants (IME GSEVEE) on March 23, 2016, by Dr Evi Sachini, Director of National Documentation Centre and Mr George Kavvathas, Chairman of the Administrative Council. The aim is to study the national entrepreneurial ecosystem of research, technological growth and innovation, focusing on Small Enterprises.
EKT and IME GSEVEE will cooperate in order to exchange knowledge, information and best practices in research, technology and innovation with emphasis on very small, and small medium enterprises which make up 99,9% of total enterprises in Greece.
In the context/framework of this cooperation the current situation and the main problems of the small medium enterprises will be examined, analyzed and registered in order to export data and indicators for Research Development and Innovation, aiding policy makers to create the suitable environment and the right conditions for the private sector by exploiting the research conclusions.
