Aikaterini Lazaridou graduated from the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering – National Technical University of Athens, with honours. She specialized in electrical energy production systems and in biomedical engineering & technology. She also holds a M.Sc. in Human Resources management with honours from the Athens University of Economics and Business.
Ms. Lazaridou worked as self-employed engineer in the field of investments in the energy sector as well as in the implementation of EU funded projects, before joining the European Commission (EC) in 2012. From 2012 until 2018 she served the EC as Policy Officer responsible for Greece and the Republic of Cyprus under the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund.
In 2018, she joined the European Research Executive Agency as Project Adviser in the unit responsible for MSCA-RISE (processor of MSCA Staff Exchanges).
