At the European Research Executive Agency (REA) he was Research Programme Administrator from 2017 to 2021 when he was appointed Head of Sector for Project management. Before joining REA, he was Project Officer at the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA) monitoring the implementation of the EU Regulation (EU) No 1305/2014 related to Telematics Applications for Rail Freight transport. Before joining the EU institutions, he was Head of Coordination and Urban Management at ADIF – Spanish Infrastructure Manager – Ministry of Public Works. He has an M. Sc. In Industrial Engineering (intensification in Automation and Electronics) at the University Carlos III de Madrid and an ExMPA (Executive Master in Public Administration – graduated with Honors) at IE Business School. Moreover, he completed PhD Studies in Automation and Robotics.
