Training Event ‘Enhancing Gender Equality and the Gender Dimension in Research and Innovation’

The National Documentation Centre (EKT) is organizing on June 20th, 2019 at the National Hellenic Research Foundation (L. Zervas Amphitheatre, Vas. Konstantinou 48, Athens) a Training Event for Policy Makers. The event is organized in the context of the Horizon 2020 GENDERACTION project whose aim is the creation of an innovative policy community to support the implementation of the European Research Areas (ERA) priority on gender equality.

The event will provide a forum for dialogue and exchange of experiences and best practices on gender equality. In particular, the event will explore issues such as the design, implementation and monitoring of gender equality policies and plans in research performing and research funding organisations, the role of research funders in integrating the gender dimension in research and innovation. The participation of representatives of European organisations during the round-table discussion will provide the opportunity for exploring avenues for strengthening further the gender dimension at EU level.

The event targets representatives from research performing and research funding organisations, representatives from bodies whose work focuses on gender equality, gender equality experts and scholars and young researchers.
