Where and When
The National Documentation Centre (EKT), National Contact Point for Horizon Europe and Co-ordinator of the Enterprise Europe Network-Hellas, invites you to the 'Career Opportunities for Researchers in Horizon Europe: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions' event to be held online through the Microsoft Teams platform on July 8, 2021 (16:00-18:15).
The event will focus on the new calls concerning the Doctoral Networks and Postdoctoral Fellowships of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), and is being organised in collaboration with the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI), the European Commission and the Research Executive Agency-REA.
Participants will be able to learn about the new calls and put their questions directly to the experts from the European Commission. The event will begin with the presentation of Eleni Konsta from the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, Department of the Directorate-General for Education and Culture (DG EAC) of the European Commission, who will present the Actions under the new Horizon Europe programme, which aims to make an active contribution to scientific excellence and enhance jobs, equipping researchers with new knowledge and skills, and intensifying their participation in international and cross-sectoral collaborations.
Ioannis Bitsios and Thodoris Staikos, Research Programme Administrators at the Executive Committee of the European Commission (REA), will give more details about the activities of the Doctoral Networks and Postdoctoral Fellowships respectively, presenting the innovations and new elements, procedure and rules of participation.
Following this, the National Representatives and Experts for MSCA, Susanna Kolyva (Pasteur Institute), George Karystinos (Technical University of Crete) and Anna Rosenberg (General Secretariat for Research and Innovation), will make some preliminary remarks on the programmes's support for young researchers, and the connection with the academic, research and business community.
Dr. Cristina Pascual, National Contact Point for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions in Horizon Europe, will then talk about the networking and support services for young researchers offered by the National Documentation Centre (EKT). Finally, the services offered by the National Contact Points (NCPs) MSCA, which are the National Documentation Centre (EKT), the PRAXI Network / Institute of Technology and Research and the National Centre for Research & Technological Development (CERTH), will be presented.
Please note that the event will be held in Greek. Participation is free, but registration is required here.
